DE BEST volunteers have been requested to support Emergency Responders at a "Help Center" being conducted for the families in Wilmington that have been displaced from their condemned apartments. The event runs 10:00am - 6:00pm. You may sign up for one or both of the shifts that are 9:45am-2:00pm or 1:45pm-6:00pm
We will be providing Psychological First Aid and providing resources as needed.
This type of event may cause strong emotional response. Responders do a self-check before committing to shift/s:
- Be sure that you yourself are emotionally able to provide support at this time
- Knowing that your own loved ones are secure
- You feel well prepared, or are confident that you will be well prepared prior to the shift
