DE BEST has the opportunity to showcase our program by distributing our materials at the upcoming Community Resource Fair with the Wilmington Police Department. This will also be a great opportunity to network. Please sign up now if you are available.
DETAILS
The Wilmington Police Department will be hosting their Annual Community Resource Fair on September 14, 2023. Similar to other fairs, DE BEST will be providing our resources at a table, as well as Hopeline Resources to the Wilmington Community. Please be prepared to stand at a table to distribute/ network for 2 hours. Only two volunteers are needed for this opportunity.
On-site Contacts: Skylar Washington
Volunteers who sign up for the WPD Community Resource Fair MUST have completed their required trainings and documents through DE TRAIN. The list of trainings can always be found on DPH/EMSPS RespondDE website here (the first table contains required trainings and documents for ALL volunteers). We must verify on our end if you have successfully completed everything.
If you have not completed everything, we will contact you directly to let you know what needs to be completed before you are eligible. If you receive the confirmation message with address and don't hear anything else from the team, you are good to go!
ROLE
Two volunteers will be placed at a table to distribute our DE BEST and Hopeline Materials. This event is not intended for the provision of PFA. However, DE BEST Volunteers must always be prepared to provide PFA to community members, other volunteers and responders at any time.

Important FAQ and Other Information
Please do not self deploy. If you are unsure of your authorization to deploy, please call the Opportunity Contact or a DE BEST Representative. Keep in mind that NO deployment is authorized unless there is a signed Waiver, a signed acknowledgement of Code of Conduct on the volunteer’s SERVDE’s profile, AND all of the required training/s for the role (see below). While all of these are captured here on our portal, we will audit your SERVDE profile under "Trainings" to confirm that all of these have been recorded there as well.
