Volunteer at the YWCA Community Health Fair – August 22
Join DE BEST at the Route 9 Community Resource Fair in New Castle! Help us share vital mental health, emergency preparedness, and HopeLine resources with residents — and introduce community members to meaningful ways they can get involved.
Your Role as a Volunteer
As a DE BEST volunteer at this event, you will:
-
Staff the DE BEST resource table during your assigned shift
-
Distribute printed materials and preparedness/mental health giveaways
-
Talk with community members about DE BEST programs and how to get involved
-
Help spread awareness, build trust, and strengthen community connections
Note: Psychological First Aid (PFA) is not expected at this event, but volunteers should be prepared to offer emotional support to peers, partners, or attendees if needed.
Supply Coordination
Volunteers may be contacted to help coordinate supplies for this outreach event. This may include picking up materials from the Newark office or meeting at another convenient location in the state before or after the event. We’ll work with you to make it as easy and flexible as possible.
