Volunteer with DE BEST at the "VET Fest" Community Outreach Event - 9/27
We’re seeking trained, compassionate volunteers to represent DE BEST at an upcoming community event. Sign up now to help us share mental health, preparedness, and HopeLine resources - and raise awareness of volunteer opportunities with DE BEST.
Your Role as a Volunteer
- Staff a resource table during your shift
- Distribute printed materials and resources
- Engage the public in conversations about DE BEST, mental wellness, preparedness, and volunteering
- Network with community partners
Note: These events do not involve Psychological First Aid, but volunteers should always be prepared to offer support to fellow volunteers, partners, or community members.
We recommend reviewing materials on our Volunteer Resource Summary to feel confident and well-informed before your shift.
Volunteer Requirements
To participate, you must:
- Complete all required trainings and documentation via DETRAIN.org
- Digitally sign your Code of Conduct and Photo Release Waiver
- Upload all certificates to your profile on SERVDE.org
- Be confirmed as fully qualified by DE BEST staff

If you're missing any items, DE BEST will contact you directly. If you receive the confirmation email with event details and no follow-up, you're approved to attend!
After You Sign Up
- We’ll review your profile to ensure all requirements are met
- Approved volunteers will receive a confirmation email with location and time
- A final reminder email will be sent the morning of your shift
Clock in and out using the free Causer app or the web portal link in your final reminder email. You’ll also be asked to report:
- The approximate number of people supported
- The number of resources distributed
