Our bimonthly Committee Meeting was on November 28th.

We discussed meeting format, purpose and goals going forward. Participants provided feedback about ongoing program activities and suggestions for future development. Secretary position remains open, to be discussed at next meeting.

| 2) Review/Reconstruct Mission Statement |
Reviewed purpose and role of DE BEST Committee. (Skylar) - Extends appreciation for all participants devoting their time and efforts toward the program. Our corps depends on you all, and you've exceeded the purpose of the team and met the needs of our community because of it. |

(Volunteers) Collectively spoke on recruiting volunteers with more weekday availability so we can actively boost sign ups. | |

4) Volunteer Development |
Discussion: Recap of the recent MHFA Training and reiterated that the second session will be rescheduled in the next following weeks. As well as received feedback from volunteers for future workshops/trainings. (Adele) Asked what is the difference between MHFA and PFA (Skylar) (Cherjon)- Suggested that we should consider aiming for a weekend training due to volunteers work schedules. (Wendy) - Agreed with Cherjon and mentioned how she has been unable to attend trainings due to to the fact it conflicts with her work schedule as well. (Skylar) Mentioned to the volunteers we are in the process of hosting a Potluck/Training Session for volunteers to get a chance to receive and In-Person training experience. (Skylar) Reminded volunteers the importance of linking their DETRAIN account with SERVDE. Skylar went through the process with the volunteers via screen share. | 5) Engagement Opportunities

Discussion: Reviewed Upcoming Activities. (Skylar) Clarified that due to us being an outreach and disaster response program, activity days will always be unexpected and vary. (Skylar) Admin will be announcing the date for our Annual Holiday Potluck in the next upcoming week, as well as a new upcoming MHFA Training date. Gave volunteers to be on the look in their email. |
