Our Quarterly Meeting was held on January 11th, 2023.

We discussed our Quarterly Accomplishments, purpose, and goals going forward. RuthAnn Purchase presented her program and progress with restoring a historical culture. If you were unable to make the meeting and have suggestions, questions, or concerns please reach out to Celeste or Skylar.

The DE BEST COMMITTEE Meeting is scheduled for January 24th, 2023, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you all at our in-person +1 potluck on January 19th, 2023, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

  • Recruitment: 4 new volunteers
  • Purged Volunteers that did not meet volunteer requirements this quarter: 0

Resource Distributions
  • Food Bank: 10 shifts and 42.25 hours
    • HopeLine Distributions: 5,500 materials distributed this quarter!
  • Annual Hayes Symposium: 4 volunteers and 10 hours
  • DPA Convention Center: 1 volunteer and 9 hours

Volunteer Activities Last Quarter:

    • Committee Meetings (1): 10/12

      • Workplace Violence and Psychological First Aid (virtual, 16 participants)

Required trainings completed by volunteers (to date):

  • Crisis Counseling Program Training: 78 Completions
  • PFA: 74 Completions

 

 4) Training Minute

RuthAnn Purchase - new Volunteer, Presented "Training Minute"

"Friends of Lenape Everywhere- Reuniting cousins across the Lenape Diaspora"

  • Program restoring ecosystem and culture.
  • Renovations to ancient cemetery, bringing together cousins of the Lenape Diaspora.

RuthAnn Requested DE BEST: Consider how volunteers can help provide psychological first aid and trauma-informed support to the families who are suffering from inappropriate and inaccurate media and mongering.
