DE BEST Volunteer Onboarding/Engagement

We are opening up our DE BEST Volunteer Onboarding/Engagement to volunteers. We need friendly, supportive volunteers to mentor and encourage other team members be prepared and ready for a response We are asking that you support us with:

  • Welcoming new volunteers
  • Mentoring volunteers through completion of "Onboarding"
  • Recording volunteer contacts on GoogleSheets

Confidential access to GoogleSheets will provided by DE BEST Admin upon completion of a short staff-led Orientation. We need your support connecting with DE BEST team members. Shift time is flexible. We ask that you report activity time to us at: DEBESTVolunteers@gmail.com.

Requirements:

  • Access to internet
  • Complete RespondDE / DE BEST volunteer required documents and trainings (see below FAQ)
  • Attend 10 min. Orientation Zoom with DE BEST Staff Member at shift start (Tues. 6:00 pm - 6:10 pm)

Important FAQ and Other Information

No volunteer activity is authorized unless there is a signed Waiver, a signed acknowledgement of Code of Conduct on the volunteer’s SERVDE’s profile, AND all of the required training/s for the volunteer role. While requirements are captured here on our portal, we will audit your SERVDE profile under "Trainings" to confirm that all of these have been recorded there as well.
