YOUR ROLE
Volunteers will be placed at a table to distribute our DE BEST and Hopeline Materials, share the opportunity to volunteer with DE BEST, and network with RespondDE MRC DE BEST partners. This event is not intended for the provision of PFA. However, DE BEST Volunteers must always be prepared to provide PFA to community members, other volunteers and responders at any time.
THE EVENT
The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), Division of Public Health (DPH), has invited the DE BEST Team to provide information and request our attendance at one of the upcoming Community Organizations Preparedness Engagement (COPE) Workshops. One of the areas that DPH is focusing on is examining the impacts that emergencies and disasters have on our communities and its citizens. In the event of an emergency or disaster, we know your organization will be a critical partner in the successful recovery of the communities you serve.
Facilitated by: The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), Division of Public Health (DPH)
The COPE Workshop is designed to bring together representatives of local community
organizations, and key stakeholders in the state’s disaster response. The attendees will
participate in discussions that will help strengthen the preparedness of the state and its
counties in aiding those impacted during an incident. With these workshops, the hope is to
connect with as many nonprofit and faith-based organizations as possible throughout
Delaware.
