We need volunteers to support this new program, aimed at reducing inappropriate and/or illegal substance use in Delaware.
Please sign up now if you are available.
DETAILS
This program is a partnership with the Lt. Governor’s Office, DHSS, DOE, and the National Child ID/Dispose RX Program to provide mental health awareness and disposal of medication including opioids. We will be handing out "Dispose Rx" packets to game attendees as they exit the building. We will place 2 volunteers at each exit to dispense the packets and information.
DE BEST Volunteers have been requested to hand out the Dispose Rx packets to game attendees as they exit the building at the University of Delaware Semi- Finals Basketball Games on March 8th and 9th, 2023. There are two shifts available each night (both 3/8 and 3/9). You may sign up for any of or number of these shifts.
On-site Contacts: Ingrid Hansen and Celeste Peart
ROLE
Two or more volunteers will be placed at each exit to dispense the Rx packets and information.
This event is not intended for the provision of PFA. However, DE BEST Volunteers must always be prepared to provide PFA to community members, other volunteers and responders at any time.

Important FAQ and Other Information
Please do not self deploy. If you are unsure of your authorization to deploy, please call the Opportunity Contact or a DE BEST Representative. Keep in mind that NO deployment is authorized unless there is a signed Waiver, a signed acknowledgement of Code of Conduct on the volunteer’s SERVDE’s profile, AND all of the required training/s for the role (see below).
