Greetings to you all!

DE BEST Volunteers were asked support the response to a tornado that touched down in Greenwood, Delaware Saturday, April 1. Our role there was to provide support at a shelter, or walking with a team to assess damage.

Please see pictures below on how the recent tornado has impacted the Delaware community. Unfortunately some individuals homes were destroyed and many trees were struck down.  We would also like to prepare you for further emergency deployments as such if you do not know the protocol already.

EMERGENCY DEPLOYMENT ROLE:

We have been asked to provide PFA support to community members and responders. Translators will be provided, as needed. We may be providing Hope Line Resources as well. Volunteers must always be prepared to provide PFA to other volunteers and responders as well as community members. Please wear your vest and bring resources.

In the event that you are deployed, details will be sent to you by email as well. Please bring ID AND a digital or paper copy of the actual deployment email when reporting for your shift.
