| 1) Welcome | (Anthony) called to order at 6:30 p.m. |   |
| 2) Introductions/Review Mission Statement | Reviewed purpose and role of DE BEST Committee. (Anthony) Recent school shooting in Georgia reminds us why we need to be prepared as a team to address unexpected mental health emergencies in Delaware. There are two parts to making that happen. The first has to do with keeping up with individual training requirements. The second is to learn to work together as a team. At our July meeting we had the chance to listen to the varied levels of expertise that our members bring to the table. Thank you to participants devoting their time and efforts toward the program. Our corps depends on you all, and you've exceeded the purpose of the team and met the needs of our community because of it. (Volunteers) Introductions |   |
| 3) Recruitment   | (Skylar) Announced that the new Mentorship ("Onboarding Support") Project began in June and volunteer support is much needed. Your role is to call other volunteers, sparking more volunteer qualification completions and activity sign ups. (Anthony) Emphasized the importance of being prepared with the trainings when we do deploy and that a team can't function without being equipped with the knowledge need to function in a smooth capacity. Also an idea to increase recruitment is by bringing a buddy/friend/ or colleague to join meetings in the future. (Skylar) Provided feedback that would be a great idea and easy way to receive volunteer hours if you are unavailable for outreach opportunities. (Anthony) Mentioned the progress we have been making so far with the Engagement Initiative, and sparked the conversation about conducting a Mock Trial Run for the DE BEST Volunteers. | Volunteers interested in mentoring other volunteers are encouraged to email DEBESTvolunteers@gmail.com |
| 4) Volunteer Development | Recap of the recent MHFA Training and reiterated that the last training session of the year is October 8th. (Skylar) Showed volunteers how to operate our Portal, SERVDE, and DETRAIN. Reminding volunteers the importance of linking their DETRAIN account with SERVDE. Skylar went through the process with the volunteers via screen share. Please see below for instructions on how to do link your DETRAIN and SERVDE profile. Further instructions on how to create a DETRAIN account can be found here on our blog. DETRAIN INSTRUCTIONS TO OBTAIN YOUR DE TRAIN USERNAME: TO ENTER YOUR USERNAME INTO SERVDE: | Action Item: Re-Send training requirements email as well as instruction to link DETRAIN and SERVDE. | 5) Engagement Opportunities   | Reviewed Upcoming Activities. (Skylar) Gave a recap of outreach covered this summer and emphasized shifts need filling for the upcoming Vet Fest. Our main goal right now is filling the roles up and increasing training completions for all volunteers. Volunteers can reach out to either Skylar or Celeste via email to set up a supply drop off. |     |
