First Responder Program

The BEST PAWS First program was developed in partnership with PAWS for People. The program goal is to enhance awareness of DE BEST services and develop relationships with the responder community.

We conduct short presentations with an overview of DE BEST mission and activities. After our partner, PAWS for People conduct their presentation, share their mission and activities, we then team up with an animal therapy team and mingle with the participants.

Mental health resources are distributed to participants. Emotional support is provided if appropriate.
